**If we ran the lifetimes of these enterprises sequentially, such that only one business existed at a time – e.g., starting with the founding of Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing in 1902 to the present, and then immediately thereafter the founding of Alcoa in 1888 to the present, and so on – the entire length of time it would take to reach 6.77 million employees and over $4 trillion in market cap is 27,533,000 hours, or 3,141 years. At that run rate the annual productivity loss to Obamacare could account for slightly more than 4.5 sequential creations of the Dow Jones Industrial Average constituents every year.
