Bitcoin Ends January Up 51%, Largest Monthly Increase Since 2011 For the month of January, 2013 the closing price of $20.41 USD was up nearly seven dollars from the 2012 year-end close resulting in more than a 51% increase for the month — Bitcoin’s largest monthly gain since December 2011.
