Dotcom: Mega now accepts bitcoin payments

Kim Dotcom has announced that the web storage service, Mega, will accept payments made using the virtual currency, bitcoins. The payments are made via the Bitvoucher site which was set up to allow Mega users to buy package upgrades without divulging their identity to anyone outside the service. "Mega now accepts Bitcoin via our newest reseller Bitvoucher," announced Dotcom on Twitter . The Bitvoucher site explains how the system works: After selecting the upgrade the user is forwarded to the Bitcoin processor, zipbit. Zipbit then registers the payment transaction on the Bitcoin Network and returns the user to Bitvoucher to await payment confirmation and a voucher code which is then redeemed on Mega.
