Of course BitCoin is volatile! The frenzied trading in it drives prices up and down. The important thing is that the irresistible trend is upward regardless of daily fluctuations. When BitCoin first hit the street with a very low value the daily fluctuations in the ongoing price were sufficiently large to temporarily drive the actual value of a BitCoin to zero! Some regarded this as a “crash”. Well, it was, but not a permanent one. As Victor Hugo said, “There is nothing more powerful than an idea whose time has come.” BitCoin is rewriting the rules and changing the way the game is played. All fiat currencies are speculative and require an act of faith. With the Glass-Steagall Act having been repealed the North American (and European) banking systems became risky gambling casinos.
