Just a few days ago, Twitter was bursting with investors tracking each price tick in the Bitcoin, a virtual currency that is generated through a complex computational process called mining and isn’t regulated by a central bank. But there isn’t much chatter now that the price has crept back up to $130 . StockTwits’ message volume, which is a way to quantify social momentum, has dropped sharply from earlier this month. Trading volume on Mt. Gox has plunged to 9,901.33 today from 35,790 on April 16. Granted, Bitcoin prices swung wildly earlier this month as the currency traded as high as $266 intraday on April 10 before falling as low as $50 in less than a week, according to data from the trading exchange Mt.
