Can Bitcoin slash the price of online news? #WEF

One of the main growing pains that companies have been facing moving into the online space is how to get people to pay for content. When you are getting a tangible product people are more willing to hand over a few dollars. If a micro payment process could be nearly seamlessly built into our online experience, this could be a great improvement. They just need to get it to work as a plugin of some sort that displays the cost to view the page and a one-click option to access the content. There could be many different companies offering this service and sites could choose which methods they would support. The main issue I have with this is that it could lead to a system of haves and have-nots. Right now the internet is basically free for everyone (other than ISP/bandwidth charges). If websites cater to a Western audience then people in poorer countries won't be able to afford...
