Bitcoin's troubles continue as trading site loses £160k in hacking heist by @iansteadman

Bitcoins are back in the news for the wrong reasons, as it emerges that trading site Bitfloor has had over £160,000 stolen by hackers. Bitfloor's founder, Roman Shtylman, took to the site's forum to let users know what had happened -- and to ask for "help" to avoid creating panic within the Bitcoin community. According to Shtylman : "Last night, a few of our servers were compromised. As a result, the attacker gained accesses to an unencrypted backup of the wallet keys (the actual keys live in an encrypted area). "Using these keys they were able to transfer the coins. This attack took the vast majority of the coins BitFloor was holding on hand. As a result, I have paused all exchange operations." In other words, hackers gained access to the passwords (or "keys") that would let them into the program where Bitfloor's Bitcoins are kept (the "wallet"). The hackers allegedly too...
