Bitcoin is one of the single greatest revolutionary concepts in... ever. Though unlikely to ever amount to much, it might be prudent to buy one bitcoin just in case. The major feature of this system is that it's decentralized. You do not live in a free country if your medium of exchange is regulated by a central authority (the government). If bitcoins were accepted as a means of exchange then we would be an incredibly more free people, liberated from the unconstitutional restraints applied on us by our government and, ultimately, banks. Its finite distribution means you never have to worry about your arsenal being devalued due to deflation; governments can not simply create more bitcoins to free themselves from their own messes.
