New Blog Post :: Learning Ruby on Rails

I have been using Ruby on Rails for about 2 years and nowadays I use it for developing almost all of my web applications. Before I used RoR, like many people, I started out with php and my experience in learning ruby and rails was not the most pleasant one to start out with. However, I managed to get through in the end and now I am able to produce some quite complicated apps. I thought I would share some of the things that helped get me through and what I was still able to take away from the things that set me back. The Ruby on Rails Tutorial Dom and I started learning RoR together using the excellent Ruby on Rails Tutorial by Micheal Hartl . I would recommend anyone wanting to learn RoR to start here. The book itself can be read online but if you can I would say get the screen casts, Dom and I were able to watch them together on our tv and follow the steps on our laptops....
