Ruby on Rails vulnerable to mass assignment and SQL injection [x-post from r/rails]

I'm pretty sure you don't have to either. True, and I don't, thank FSM. But my complaint wasn't that he has no point, rather that he comes off as an indcredible douchewad in that post. The overblown and pretentious metaphor, unnecessary importing of foreign-language words, overall "fuck your opinion" tone, incredible I-know-what-you're-thinking-better-than-you-do sentiment, etc., etc., etc. Makes me never want to read this guy's code, much less communicate with him, much much less meet with him. And since he heads up Rails, that sentiment bleeds over into my perception of that community. I wouldn't want to communicate with the kind of person who likes this post, or thinks it's an acceptable way to communicate with others. So should I be wary of those who participate in the Rails community, who subscribe to the same philosophy as this guy? "Who cares? Who are you? They don'...
