reInteractive Developer Leonard Garvey has put together a set of step-by-step articles to help newbies get introduced to Ruby on Rails. reInteractive have used these articles as part of their InstallFest initiative, with 35 participants in Sydney already set-up and started, and a goal to reach 200 people by the end of the year.

Newbies can follow the series of articles on their own or at the free InstallFest, where Developers volunteer to help out participants when they hit errors or problems. Articles 1 & 2 show followers how easy it is to build a blog from scratch, add JavaScript and Ajax, and give their new application personality and style! Following this, new Railers can follow the next set of articles to test their blogadd an Administration panel, convert their blog posts to Markdown format and add even more awesome features!
