It’s not time to upgrade just yet, but the first preview release of Ruby 2.1 is out boasting a variety of changes, including a generational garbage collector, frozen string literals, literal suffixes, and String#scrub. BitNami have OS X and Linux stacks available if you prefer an all-in-one type of installation.
