gem debugger

debugger - это форк библиотеки ruby-debug19 , обеспечивающий работу с 1.9.2 и 1.9.3 и простую установку под rvm/rbenv. Одной из основных причин возникновения debugger является то, что ruby-debug19 остановился в своем развитии (последний релиз был 1 сентября 2009).
