ActiveRecord lulls us into a false sense of security. We relax, thinking that ActiveRecord will always be there to do the right thing and fill our lives with SQL -scented unicorns and rainbows. Oh, but there’s a dark side to ActiveRecord, dear reader! Yes, it makes it easier to put thing in our database, get them back out, update and destroy them, but it also makes shooting yourself in the foot easier too . How, you ask? I’ll tell you !
