EY sponsors and allows these little teams to flourish and then sets them free. Github, JRuby, Rails 3 initiative. (Not sure about the PHP side)But why?I could see possible business angles, if this weren’t OSS we were talking about. Unless someone is ‘buying’ your sponsored work? Ok, sponsoring github for a piece, I get it, if that happened. should have happened, if it didn’t. They’d be bitbucket if it wasn’t for your server sponsorship help early on.The J in the JRuby, with all the hub bub around it with Oracle and Google, i can see it being a bit scary. Who ever knows where lawsuit’s blood gets spilled in battle.I just don’t see the angle anywhere of sponsoring OSS projects like EY has been doing.
