In this series, I would like to demonstrate some of the basics of building a Ruby on Rails application and how MVC (Model-View-Controller) works. That being said, in this first part of the series, let's discuss some general Ruby "stuff" that makes life a little bit easier when dealing with day to day Ruby tasks.
