Are you a #ruby dev looking to get started with #openshift ? Here's a getting started guide that makes it dead simple

OpenShift is Red Hat’s open source platform as a service. With OpenShift you upload your code using Git from either the command line or your favorite IDE. OpenShift will configure, secure and scale the web, application and database tiers so you don’t have to. Getting a Ruby on Rails app with a MySQL backend deployed onto OpenShift is as easy as signing up and executing two commands: $ rhc app create -a MyApp -t ruby-1.9 $ rhc app cartridge add -a MyApp -c mysql-5.1 You can now visit your application on the web at: http://MyApp-MyDomain.rhcloud.com/ Now create your Ruby on Rails application: $ cd MyApp $ rails new app $ git commit -am 'message' $ git push That’s all it takes to get your “server” up and running. No configuration, no waiting on machines to arrive – OpenShift helps you minimize the time between your great idea and your application going live.
