I run an education startup that connects students with tutors whenever they have a question. With this, we have a notification script built in Ruby that allows tutors on our website get notified through Facebook Chat, whenever a student has a question. The tutor adds a bot on their Facebook account, and our system automatically accepts the friend request. Following, the bot will detect whenever the user is online, and send a facebook message whenever a student has a question to send to the user. This notification system has been working flawlessly before, but is now no longer working for some reason. Facebook friend requests are still getting accepted automatically for users, but we are no longer able to detect if the user is online on Facebook! I'm looking for someone to help set up some tests, identify the problem, and see if they can resolve it :).
