Jacksonville, Florida Could Be the Next Bitcoin Hotspot

​ If you did not already know it, the first Bitcoin purchase happened in Jacksonville, Florida. On May 22nd, 2010, a man in Jacksonville paid 10,000 Bitcoins to a man in the United Kingdom who would then order him two pizzas. This was the start of Bitcoin’s spectacular rise to the top, setting a base price and a precedent for all of those whom would be buying or using Bitcoin thereafter. With Bitcoin’s rise to international use and fame one would expect Jacksonville to be a thriving Bitcoin powered metropolis but that is not the case. It is a fairly big surprise to see that there is not much Bitcoin activity at all in the city where the first purchase happened. That may change soon though if the team behind the first Bitcoin project at One Spark has anything to say about it.
