Would Jesus Use Bitcoin Against the Money Changers?

This article is just wrong. In so many different levels. Jesus’ actions were not about concern for the economy. At no point in the Bible did he ever express concern about debasement of currency. He was angry that the money changers had set up their stalls to extract money from the people coming to worship at the temple. It was what we would call a paywall – you needed to exchange your money into special “temple money” in order to go inside and make an offering, and the money changers were making money off this. Hence the main point of the temple stopped being the worship, and started becoming the profit. That was unacceptable to Jesus. It’s unacceptable to many Christians now. If you read this as “Jesus opposed forex and fiat”, well, your opinion is far away from what even the most weird and cooky denominations believe.
